Day of Consecrated Life

February 2 is the day of consecrated life.

God, please help all the clergymen and women to be good people and true spiritual leaders.

The card was given to us on the 25th priesthood anniversary of priest bishop Andrzej Sliwiński (1961-1986).

Christmas Call Keepsake

December/January is the time of the annual Christmas calls paid at parishioners' homes by parish priests.

Here is a keepsake received during such a visit, long time ago, from the rector of our parish church (at that time) - priest Kiedrowski.

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
-2 Corinthians 5:17

Happy Christmas!

'I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh'
-Acts 2:17
'Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved'
-Romans 10:13

May God bless your home and all the people who dwell in it.

This card was given to me at Christmas time at the end of the 90s.

Nativity

Joy to the world! The King has come!

'All things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, ye shall receive.'
- Matthew 21:22

One of the pictures received during the annual Christmas priest's visit - a very long time ago in Poland.

Angel's Day

December 6 is the day of Angel.

This is a little picture of our holy cards collection to commemorate the day. It is said that some people are angels in disguise, sent by God to help you and make your life easier. Have you ever met such a person whom you could call your personal angel?  Look around, maybe you have not noticed that person, yet?

Baptism of Poland

'For with God, nothing shall be impossible."
-Luke 1:37

This year, quite a special anniversary has been observed in Poland.

1050 years ago, on April 16, 966, king Mieszko I (the first king of Poland), most of his knights and the royal court were baptised. The event is known as the baptism of Poland as Christianity was introduced in the country then. Historians seem to agree that Mieszko accepted the religion because his wife Dobrawa was Christian.

I am not sure who I got these pictures from. It was in Poland, though, years ago.
